The Bill (Reg. No.3249) aims at realization of governmental policy in the health-resort and recreation sectors, delineation of authorities of the concerned central executive bodies, creation of a favourable investment climate in the health-resort sector, inter-departmental coordination in the field of health resorts.
Pursuant to the Bill, "central and local executive bodies can file petitions concerning proclamation of a natural territory as a health resort on the grounds of a petition of a local self-government body". A natural territory is proclaimed a health-resort territory of national importance on the grounds of a petition of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.
